Free A-level grade predictor

A-level grade predictor

Estimate a likely A-level grade range from GCSE results and, if available, current course evidence.

This is an informal estimate rather than an official predicted grade. It cannot account for every student, course or change in circumstances.
1. Where are you now?

Current assessments become more useful than GCSEs as the course progresses.

2. GCSE prior attainment

Use achieved grades where possible. For separate sciences, enter the mean of Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

A mean across your main GCSE subjects is sufficient.
3. Intended or current subjects

Enter the study and teaching context separately for each subject so the estimate can reflect the different skills and demands involved.

Use the grade range as well as the central estimate

The range allows for the uncertainty in estimating one student. Current full-course assessments normally become more useful than an estimate made before the course begins.
